For a waterproof knitted accessory, the strongest discussion starts with the activity and footwear or hand use. A road-cycling shoe cover, for example, needs a different fit and wear strategy from a hiking sock. Bring a reference sample or tech pack, target market, planned volume and performance tests to make the conversation specific.
A show sample is a starting point, not the final specification. After the event, record the agreed yarns, knit zones, membrane construction, sizing, test method and next sampling decision so both teams can evaluate the same product.
